Registration and Practice Permit Renewal Policy
The Registration and Practice Permit Renewal Policy applies to applicants for registration as a regulated member on the general register or on the courtesy register, and registrants renewing their practice permit.
The policy outlines the following requirements:
- General
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Practice Hours

Advanced Restricted Activities Policy
In order to perform specific Advanced Restricted Activities in Alberta, as outlined in the Health Professions Restricted Activity Regulation, (the ‘HPRAR’) sections 8 and 9, Registered Dental Hygienists must receive authorization from the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists (ACDH, or the ‘College’).

Notification Policy
The Notification Policy applies to current registrants. It requires registrants to inform the College of any changes in their contact information within 30 days, including but not limited to:
- Name
- Address
- Phone number(s)
- Email address
- Employment information
